Federation Headquarters

For the past three years, we've been privileged to have some really spectacular offices in downtown Denver -- on the 29th floor of our building. The views from the office are breathtaking. One can see the entire front-range, all the way up to Longs Peak and all the way down to Pikes Peak Colorado Springs. On a clear winter day, one might see as much as 75 to 100 miles of beautiful Rocky mountains. Sunsets and sunrises are also incredible.

Our three year lease was just about up, and we thought we might be forced to move. Not that moving isn't healthy sometimes, or that there weren't some nice offices in the downtown area, but nothing that was going to rival what we were currently in.

So it's with great pleasure that we renewed our lease today, and will be staying put for another three years. Yahoo!

Vision of Seamless Access

We did a presentation recently on how to enable seamless access to external applications. I really liked the graphics we used to showcase where Ping Identity can help companies in their various Internet SSO initiatives and thought it would be nice to share.

New SAML Java Integration Kit

The new Java Integration Kit v1.3 for PingFederate enables SSO to and from Java applications using either SAML or WS-Federation. Applications (built in Java) that authenticate end users can securely pass their attributes to PingFederate through this kit, and applications that require user attributes can securely receive them from PingFederate. The attributes are encrypted and decrypted using the Java Cryptography Extension (JCE).

CTO Mandates SAML Security for Extenal Apps

We took this quote from one of our customers recently.

"Our CTO has taken the position that any externally hosted application that has more than 100 users will be required to use federated SAML security.  In some instances, this will require the vendor to modify their application."
