Once a month we geek out on whatever we want to work on. Suffice it to say, we've got some really creative people, and we're always surprised by what really cool stuff they come up with.

Ping Strikes Back
On January 24th, Sun Microsystems threw down the gauntlet by releasing this video. I guess our new Auto-Connect™ feature got their attention. Yea, Auto-Connect IS good marketing, but it's also real software, download it and see for yourself.
We didn't really know we were in an epic battle with Sun, but we can't be the leader without a challenger, and we won't be challenged without a response.
So, in the spirit of having a bit of fun with Sun (and ourselves), we prepared this response. Special thanks to Jeremy Rudel for selecting the scene of the battle, Mark Viens for his story telling genius, and Jeremy Hudson for his epic editing skills. Let the battle begin!

ConAgra SSO to Rearden leverages PingFederate!
Rearden Commerce recently published a terrific study highlighting how Internet SSO enabled by Ping increased utilization.

Time to train
Committing yourself to being the best at anything requires a lot of training and it's that time of year here at Ping when we all get together and talk about what's working and what's not. After a day sharing our stories, we head out for a little fun. Last night, the Denver Aquarium.
Don't bet your hair
Mark Viens, head of Global Client Services (GCS) here at Ping bet his team his hair that they couldn't blow away their numbers in 2008.
Mark lost. The price, a hair cut at our annual kick-off.

Shibbmaster Nate is in the house
Nate the Shibbmaster was in the house today, training some of our sales and support engineers on Shibboleth. With the help from our very own, Mr. Waite, the entire group was all smiles by 5pm, as they had successfully setup a Shibb federation. Let the Shibbfest begin.
